Bloomsbury Publishing is looking for a Managing Editor to work for Alexandra Pringle, Editor-in-Chief, and Helen Garnons-Williams, Editorial Director, on a range of books, mostly fiction, amounting to about 30 titles a year.

Their authors include William Boyd, Barbara Trapido, Ronan Bennett, Margaret Atwood, Jhumpa Lahiri, Richard Ford, Anne Michaels, Esther Freud and Donna Tartt. The ideal applicant will be an experienced editor with a keen eye for detail, sound structural and copy-editing skills and considerable experience of working on all areas of publishing. 

We are looking for someone who works well with authors and agents and who is comfortable working (with grace and humour) under pressure.
