The English Language Teaching (ELT) Division of Oxford University Press is the global market leader in publishing for the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom. We are now seeking an experienced manager with an international outlook for a new role based in our Oxford head office, driving sales of our ELT publications in the UK, Ireland, France, Scandinavia and the Baltic states.
You will:
• devise and deliver annual promotion plans with the support of your specialist team in the territory, featuring a mix of face-to-face and direct marketing activities
• lead, develop and motivate a team of 10 sales and sales support staff
• manage commercial relationships with a variety of key trade & institutional accounts
• influence publishing strategy for the territoriesYou must have:
• demonstrable success in a relevant area of sales management
• experience of, and aptitude for, line management
• a high level of interpersonal, literacy and communication skills
• a commitment to regular travel throughout the region
• a full current driving licenceYou may have:
• sales management experience in educational publishing, preferably in the relevant territories
• channel management experience, preferably in book distribution
• fluency in French
